韩鹏飞毕业于宾夕法尼亚大学并获经济学博士学位，现为北京大学光华管理学院金融学系副教授。他的研究领域是科技创新、企业家创业、风险投资、金融科技和经济增长，他的研究尤为关注中国经济以及相关的国际比较。他的研究成果发表于国内外知名期刊（如Management Science），他在国内外知名学术会议（如NBER Summer Institute Annual Meeting）上广为宣讲论文，并获得了China International Conference in Finance最佳论文奖。他最近的研究课题包括中美在科技领域的竞争及中美脱钩、我国碳达峰与碳中和战略及路径、我国政府引导基金的发展模式，以及移动支付发展模式的国际比较。他的研究课题获得了国家自然科学基金的资助。
