林莞娟现任北京大学光华管理学院应用经济系教授、博士生导师。她2007年在美国加州大学洛杉矶分校取得经济学博士学位。 她在国内外的重要学术期刊上发表了多篇论文，包括在 Journal of Health Economics 发表的《The Effect of Patient Knowledge and Involvement on Outpatient Cost and Service- Evidence from an Experiment in China》《Has Public Health Insurance for Older Children Reduced Disparities in Access to Care and Health Outcomes》，等等。 她现在的研究领域包括卫生经济学，劳动经济学和中国经济等。教授的课程有本科生课程：《计量经济学应用》，研究生课程：《Frontiers in Applied Microeconomics》以及MBA课 程：《管理经济学》。
